Is QORK Board free?

Yes. Qork Board is a Free Service. If you would like to know how to become a Site Tester or Moderator for us, feel free to contact us and ask.

Are there positions available on the site as moderators?

Yes there is, feel free to contact us for more informaiton.

How can I edit the default Profile background and other content?

You can individualize your default Profile screen. Select the customize tab in your Profile screen to get started.

How does my Wall work? Is it like Facebook?

You can select who sees the information on your Wall by clicking on the Push Pin in the top left corner of that block.

For right now, information on your Wall will not go to your friends wall like Facebook does. We are working on adding this feature and should have it up and running soon.

Are you an Adult Only service?

No. We are a family orientated service that has recently won the Family Friendly Internet award from Florida Yankee Rating Service.

Are there opening on the Qork Board Projct Stearing Committee?

Not at this time. But if you wish to contact us with your information and list of experience, we will consider you when an opening becomes available.

I find mis-spelling in various places on the site, why is this?

QORK Board was developed by real people. What I mean by that, is the development staff is human, and make mistakes sometimes. These mistakes can be seen in the form of mis-spellings on some of the material published on the board. If perfection is what you are looking for, perhaps you should keep look, because QORK Board is for your everyday person to feel comfortable with Social Networking.

What if I have some development skills and can develop modifications or other things for QORK Board, what are you looking for as experience when it comes to developers?

We are always looking for individuals who are a fit with out Development Team of Geeks. Keep in mind that the term Geefs in an indearing term we use to refer to those who keep things running in the background. Our Team Leader began his career as an On-Line specialist in the early 80s before the Internet was available to the general public. He ran a service known as a Bulliten Board and had over 500 sibscribers in the New England area. The Great Northern Bullentin Board service ran for over 9 years before it grew into an ISP by the name of SPITWAD Internet Service. I realize it is difficult to find individuals with this degree of experience, but his gives you an idea of the experience we currently have on staff.

What if I find inappropriate material on the site?

If you find material unsuitable for the entire family, please contact us and let us know so we can remove it.
